Red Alert: A Path Beyond is based on the events of the game Command & Conquer: Red Alert from 'Westwood Studios', and is essentially the same game, only in the FPS genre. The game was created on the Westwood Studios W3D engine, created in 2001, used for games such as Earth & Beyond, Emperor: Battle for Dune, Command & Conquer: Renegade and others. Players participate in ground, air and sea battles for various classes of infantry , managing different equipment, for one of two sides: the Soviet Union and the North Atlantic Alliance. Some maps are created only for infantry battles, but most maps are still large and based on tank battles. The story of A Path Beyond is very close to the history and surroundings of the original strategy: the same buildings and combat units, the soundtrack is completely borrowed from the original and add-ons, and some maps are based on maps from Red Alert’s.
